TREATMENT FOR: ARM AND NECK PAIN, SCIATICA, DISC HERNIATION, STENOSIS, LEG PAIN, AND BACK PAIN.

Intervertebral discs are found between each vertebrae in the spine, except c1 and c2, and provide cushion between eh vertebrae as well as allow for movement in all directions.

Over time discs can deteriorate, or if put under excessive load, they can bulge or rupture (herniated disc). This can put pressure on the spinal cord nerve root (pinched nerve) at that level causing pain in that area or within that nerve distribution. For example, a herniation at C6 may cause pain anywhere from the neck, down to the elbow and possibly to the fingers. Herniated discs can happen at any level of the spine, but are most commonly in the lumbar spine because the low back is under the most pressure and torque on a daily basis.

A noninvasive treatment for herniated discs is spinal decompression. Spinal decompression is a non-surgical treatment that involves stretching the spine using a traction table. This relieves pain due to herniated discs, sciatica, back and leg pain, stenosis, as well as neck pain.

Spinal decompression creates a negative pressure within the spine to retract the herniating or bulging disc material. An easy way to describe this is to think about a jelly donut as the weakened disc. When compressed force is placed down on the donut, the jelly squirts out (inner disc material). Now if you could pull the top and bottom of the squished donut apart, the jelly would be pulled back in; this is how spinal decompression works. Also, as a result of the lower pressure within nutrients and other healing factors are pulled into the disc as well. Patients who are candidates for this treatment are people experiencing low back or neck pain, sciatica, or those with bulging or herniated discs.

Testimonials

Since I have been coming, my back pain and stiffness have been better and walking is easier, and I feel I have more mobility. I'm also more relaxed and restful. Walking, bending, sitting, standing, and sleeping are much easier. My ability to sleep, back/neck aches, overall pain, and nerve function has improved. The staff was very concerned about my condition and were efficient and knowledge about my care.
